SYNOPSIS : Le film raconte l’histoire vraie de trois scientifiques afro-américaines qui ont collaboré avec la NASA dans la période de la course à la conquête spatiale. Grace aux calculs de trajectoires de Katherine Johnson, ainsi que de ses collègues Dorothy Vaughn et Mary Jackson, John Glenn est devenu le premier astronaute américain à réaliser une orbite complète autour de la Terre.

L’homme qui défiait l’infini (2015)

Titre original : The man who know infinity

Mathématicien : Srinivasa Ramanujan

SYNOPSIS : Inde coloniale 1912 : le jeune mathématicien Srinivasa Ramanujan, qui travaille à Mandras dans des emplois subalternes au bord de la pauvreté, envoie ses récentes découvertes au professeur G.H. Hardy, un célèbre mathématicien de l’Université de Cambridge. Hardy l’invite bientôt à étudier à Cambridge, Ramanujan doit cependant faire face aux difficultés de sa situation familiale.
